DODA: One person died on the spot while another one got injured, when a Tempo they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Zaini (near Banger Morh), Kastigarh area of Doda District late last night.
According to police, the accident occurred at Zaini Kastigarh ,20 Km from Doda on Doda-Chilly Morh-Kastigarh road. “A Tempo traveler bearing registration number JK02AP-3053 skidded-off the road and fell into a 150 feet deep gorge at Zaini Kastigarh area, resulting in 1 persons dieing on the spot and another getting serious injuries,” said SSP Doda Zahid Naseem Manhas.
“Police immediately rushed to the spot and along with locals rescued both from the ill-fated vehicle and shifted them to District Hospital Doda ,where doctors declared one of them as brought dead and injured is undergoing treatment,who is said to be out of danger, “SSP added. The deceased has been identified as Driver Santosh Singh 30 Son of Gulail Singh Resident of Banjal, Doda. The injured has been identified as Ram Lal 50 resident of Banjal, Doda. Police has registered a case in this regard.
