DODA: Due to incessant rains and floods in the District Doda, one child lost her life and two persons suffered injuries in different regions of District Doda. 362 Houses were reported to be damaged which includes 43 fully damaged, 59 severely damaged and 260 partially damaged houses. Five big cattle heads and 43 small cattle heads (Sheep) died besides 97 cow sheds were damaged when the reports last came in.
The girl child aged 3 ½ years namely Priya, daughter of Santosh Singh, resident of Kotli (Banjal) died due to electrocution and among injured are 18 years old Haqikat Singh, son of Walayat Singh, resident of Chakka Tehsil Kastigarh, who got injured due to falling of boulders in Chill Nallah and has been shifted to GMC Jammu and Sukhvinder Singh a GREF Employee (JE) also suffered injuries at Ragi Nallah, while clearing slides and was admitted to District Hospital Doda for treatment when the reports last came in.
