Inter-district Divisional Athletics meet of DYSS

REASI: District Kathua girls, Manvi Sharma, Nishta Sharma and Bhawanika on Thursday emerged fastest runners after they defeated opponents from entire Jammu Division winning gold in under-14, under-17 and under-19 age groups respectively in the annual inter-district Divisional athletics meet of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at General Zorawar Singh Stadium, here.
The competition in other field and track events also took place in this two-day competition which was declared open by the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi, Vishesh Pal Mahajan amidst interaction with the participating contingents and officials.
In the closing function, Neeraj Padyar, DYSP Headquarters Reasi, along with Khyati Maan Khajuria, SHO Reasi presented the medals. Both the special guests were welcomed by Tarsem Singh, District (DYSS) Officer Reasi, who highlighted the department’s activities in the district.
Speaking to the gathering, Neeraj Padyar applauded the athletes for their dedication and competitive spirit.
