Court rejects bail of two Narco smugglers

JAMMU: Principal Sessions Judge Bhaderwah Amarjeet Singh Langeh on Thursday rejected bail application of alleged Narco Smugglers namely Sardar Mohd and Hushyar Singh both resident of Himachal Pardesh.
According to the prosecution that petitioners are involved in FIR No.56/2024 for offences under sections 8/20/29 NDPS Act; that on May 15, 2024 petitioners were found coming from Kahaljugasar to Gwari on foot and tried to flee away when spotted by petrol party of respondent police station; that because of this suspicious movement, petitioners were rounded up who disclosed their names and on frisking; Charas was recovered in polythene bags from two petitioners weighing 800/900 grams in total; that subsequently based on the docket received from Head of petrol party, FIR No.56/2024 for offences under sections 8/20/29 of NDPS Act was registered and investigation started.
Principal Sessions Judge Bhaderwah Amarjeet Singh Langeh after hearing both the sides observed that the investigation is still in progress and having regard to the modus-operandi adopted by petitioners in interstate peddling of contraband as aforesaid and looking into the gravity of offences involved, I am of the considered opinion that no case for grant of bail is made out by petitioners at this stage. This application, therefore, has no merit and is dismissed as such.
